Gertrude Mae Jette Gertrude Mae Jette, 98 of Saint Paul, Oregon passed away October 16, 2023. She was born June 28, 1925 in Plainfield, Iowa and lived in Saint Paul, OR most of her life. At the time of her death she was in the presence of loved ones and Miss Daisy her faithful companion right by her side. Survivors include four sons, Norman wife Tatiana Albany, OR, George wife Diane Seaside, OR, David wife Kenni Saint Paul, OR, Dan wife Lisa Newberg, OR. Her daughter Lorene husband Paul Dallas, OR. Two sisters Marilyn Bail of Vancouver, WA and Marcille Star of Albany, OR. Gertrude was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Gertrude loved canning and her pickles were a family favorite. Family favorites included apple cake, peach cobbler, popcorn balls and her famous egg noodles. Gertrude's real passion was family and family history. She also enjoyed the times when guests would stop by, and she was able to tell her stories of her family history. She would often talk about Champoeg State Park and the countless hours she would spend with family and friends during Indian summer. She always looked forward to family gatherings and hearing about their lives and just having family around her. Gertrude was so proud of each one of them. She especially loved to see all her grand-dogs over the years and always had treats for them. Gertrude was a member of the DAR (daughters of the revolutionary war), DUV (daughters of the union veterans of the civil war) she was very active in the St Paul, Oregon and Champoeg, Oregon historical societies. Saturday, October 28th At 1:00 pm there will be a memorial mass at St. Paul Catholic church, 20217 Christie St. NE, St. Paul Or 97137. Immediately following there will be a celebration of life at the Bullpen at the St Paul Rodeo grounds. Family members would like to gather with food and refreshments enjoying all those that have one common bond and that is the love for Gertrude. A Private, family-only graveside service is planned for 2:00 pm Saturday at Saint Paul cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to the love of her life, Norman Ray (Bob) Jette. Family will join the Celebration of Life after. Arrangements have been made through Attrell’s funeral chapel in Newberg, OR. Per her request there will be no viewing she wanted family and friends to remember her young youthful and vibrant.
