Tom Hood Pettijohn Jr. March 11, 1927 – September 15, 2020 Tom Hood Pettijohn Jr. was born March 11, 1927 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He passed September 15, 2020 in Newberg, Oregon. With help from family he remained in the home he built until just before his passing. Tom relocated to Oregon after serving in the navy during WWII. There he met Mary Dawn Brush in Sherwood. She became his wife for 71 years. Tom followed in his father’s footsteps as a carpenter. He worked 36 years for Reimers & Jolivette Construction Co., many of those years as their Superintendent. Tom and Mary had four children: Diane, Mike, Ron and Carol, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Family was the center of life for Tom and Mary. There will be a private service with family at Attrell’s Chapel in Sherwood. Others may join at Pleasant View Cemetery at 12:00, Friday, September 25.
