Ronald Lee Williams

In Loving Memory Ronald “Lee” Williams Ronald “Lee” Williams, known to his family as “Mike”, passed away January 15, 2015 following a battle with lung cancer. He was born on November 11, 1956, at Fort Bragg Army Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina to 1st Lieutenant Ronald Lee Williams and Virginia Schmauch Williams. His father passed away when he was 5 years old and he was raised by his mother in Klamath Falls, Oregon and The Dalles, Oregon. He enlisted in the US Army in March, 1975 where he worked in Base security, later changing to a specialty in wheeled vehicle mechanics. He served his country in South Korea, Germany, and Grenada and was honorably discharged in December, 1984. He was a generous man, always willing to help a friend or neighbor. He gave freely of all he had. He served on the board of the Carlton Assembly of God Church and was awarded by the City of Newberg for his volunteer service. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Denton of Newberg, OR; daughters, Chanel Stokes of Vacaville, California and Sonya Kim of Seoul, South Korea; grandchildren Darian and Jayden Stokes, and Ellen, So-Yoon, and So-Loo Kim; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kim and Hollis Adams, and Bonnie and Mike Nashif; 3 nieces and 2 nephews-all of Newberg, OR.
