In Memory of Roger Arthur Olheiser Roger Arthur Olheiser was born the son of Martin and Hilda (Amman) Olheiser on Friday, September 17, 1943 in Mott, North Dakota. Roger moved to Springfield, Oregon in 1951, then to Dayton and finally to Newberg where he lived for forty plus years. He retired to LaPine after working at Smurfit Paper Mill for twenty-seven years. Roger built his own home, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching professional bull riding, attending the PBR Final in Las Vegas for many years. Roger was a loving husband and a dedicated father and grandfather. On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, Roger Arthur Olheiser died when he was seventy years, four months and nineteen days of age. Surviving and left to honor his life are: His wife Rose of LaPine; his mother Hilda of McMinnville; two sons, Martin of Salem, and Ricky of McMinnville; two daughters, Sherri Dansforth of Soaplake, WA, and Charity Nolan of Salem; two brothers, Roy of McMinnville, and Robert of Dayton; three sisters, Shirley Franks of McMinnville, Sandy Powell of Portland, and Sherry Felix of Oregon City; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; and those who have come to know and appreciate him where he has lived and worked. His father Martin preceded him in death. His Cryptside Service will be Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in Valley View Memorial Park, Newberg. Arrangements are in the care of Newberg Funeral Chapel, a Golden Rule Funeral Home.
