Emilie Ann Naccarato

December 11, 1940 - September 30, 2021

Emilie Ann Naccarato of Newberg, OR went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 30, 2021. She passed peacefully with family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. The youngest of 7 children, Emilie was born December 11, 1940 in Yates Center, Kansas to parents Grover and Edith Holderman. Raised on a farm, she learned the value of hard work early. She attended school in the same little red schoolhouse all the way through high school, and met her husband-to-be, Ed, while working as a phone operator. He called in to make a long-distance call, and they ended up having a “love connection”. They married in 1963, headed out west for Ed’s job, and were enamored with the coast…neither had ever seen the ocean. They fell in love with Oregon, put down roots and never left. Emilie lived in Newberg for over 50 years and loved being involved in various organizations in the community over the years. Raising her 4 children was what she was most proud of, and being a doting grandmother filled her with immense happiness. Even when she was working and raising her kids, she always made the time to help others by volunteering at the church, schools, and other associations. She was one of the most caring and generous people you could ever meet. She had a love of flowers and gardening and took pride in caring for her yard…growing seasonal fruits and vegetables over the years and creating an oasis of flowers and plants that filled her with pride and joy. Emilie is survived by her children John (wife Tonya) Naccarato, Jena (husband Nicolas) Jonville, Jessica (husband Matthew) Davis, and Jeffrey Naccarato, sister-in-law Anna Naccarato, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many dear friends and loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Emilie is preceded in death by her husband Edward Naccarato, her parents and her 6 siblings. A service will be held Friday, October 22, with a rosary at 10:30am followed by mass at 11am, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Newberg. Luncheon at the church to follow. Arrangements are in the care of Attrell's Funeral Chapel of Newberg. Online condolences may be made at www.attrells.com. Memorial contributions may be made to National Parkinson’s Foundation.
