Ronald A Diehl

Ronald “Ronnie” Alan Diehl passed away at home July 21,2022 surrounded by his loving family and his faithful dog Kate. Ron was born Jan 31, 1963 to Ralph and MaryAnn (Sattler) Diehl in Tigard Oregon. He grew up the youngest of six siblings on a farm in Tigard and graduated from Tigard High School. Ron attended college for an Auto Body Certification and eventually found his career and home at Pride Disposal where he was their Fabricator and Mechanic for over 30 years. He loved his job and the owners Mike, Cindy and Kristin (aka kid) were not just his bosses but they were family and more importantly friends. Ronnie had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He loved his life, his family and his many hobbies. You could find him hunting, fishing, crabbing, clamming and camping at every chance he had. He spent many hours in his shop working on projects and he could fix anything. It was well known in the neighborhood that if you needed something fabricated, welded, a car worked on (especially if it was fast, loud or fun) , a field mowed, cows moved or fences fixed Ronnie was always the first to help and without hesitation. His fondest memories he would share with a smile on his face and love in his eyes were always about his family. With the love of his life Carol they had many adventures, he enjoyed traveling with her, eating her cooking and just living life together on their little farm in Newberg that they worked hard to make their home. They were true life partners. The times he spent camping, hunting, fishing and just hanging out with his boys showing them how to work hard and play harder. When his eyes really lit up is when he talked about his grandkids. He loved the sleepovers, holidays and any special time he could spend with them. Ronnie was a fun-loving, hardworking family man with a strong integrity and huge heart but never without a little mischievous twinkle in his eye just to keep us on our toes. He will be missed beyond words He was proceeded in death by his parents Ralph and MaryAnn Diehl, brother Jeff, sister Ann and grandson Lukas. He is survived by his wife Carol, their children Josh (Emily), Justin (Melissa), Jennifer and Devin. Grandkids, Bailey, Branden, Colton, Cora, Makenna, Danielle, Ellie, Juliet, Aiden, Tanner, and Olivia His brother Mark (Kathy) Diehl, sisters Jenny and Betty, many nephews and nieces. His Uncle “Richie” and Aunt Sandy who he loved and adored and was blessed to live next door too for 25 years. Aunt Lee Sattler, Uncle Bill and Aunt Sharon Sattler and many cousins and friends that he considered family. Services will be held at 11am Saturday, September 17,2022 at NW Christian Church in Newberg OR In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to Doernbechers Children’s Hospital.
