Phillip Anthony Wallace

October 14th, 2023 at 9:15 AM PST the world witnessed a solar eclipse that brought forth a Ring of Fire - one of the rarest eclipses to see. At the same time Phillip Wallace said goodbye. He was 41. Born May 19th 1982, a c/o 2000 graduate from Newberg High School, attended UNLV for 1.5 years. Afterward, he earned his Real Estate license, where he thrived for many years and remained close with his colleagues. Phil, memorable to the core, was like a blazing shooting star that drew everyone to him, where he could share his spirited thoughts about family, soccer, religion, and his beloved Washington Redskins. He had a way with people. It didn’t matter who you were, he was always rooting for you, accepted you for who you are, and if you were lucky enough, you even got a nickname. Fishing, his true passion, was a way for him to just be out in nature, master his craft, and to bond with others. He took great joy in taking people out on the water, helping them learn how to bait a hook, or cast a line for the first time. The smile he would get when you caught a fish you would think he caught the thing himself. A faithful servant of God, he kept that relationship close to his heart but was always ready to tell someone of God's awesome love. He would say his greatest gift was becoming the most loving father, who wanted nothing more than to be with his son River, who shares his sweet smile. Always the biggest supporter of his family and all that they did, from being a loving Uncle who would reach out and cheer for his nieces and nephews, watching all their events, constantly texting and chatting with them to always saying he would be next after congratulating everyone on their achievement whether it be a new job, girlfriend, wife, birth of a child, or getting married. Phil is survived by both his parents, Roger Wallace and Patti Puhl, 3 siblings: Shane and Jeremiah Hollingsworth and Lori Roberts, son River, and grandfather Harry Jeffrey, step-father Jim Puhl, step-brothers Jed, Joe, and Zach Puhl, and step-sister Tessa Eggiman with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Phil was beloved more than he knew, and more people everyday share their own heartfelt memories. A Celebration of his impassioned Life, one that touched hearts and left a profound impact on so many, will be held at Family Life Church, 502 S St Paul Hwy, Newberg, OR 97132 – Monday, December 18th 2023 at 4:00 pm. Casual attire, no flowers please.
