Lydia Marie Schramm

Lydia Marie Schramm, age 49, of Newberg, Oregon, Passed away on January 17, 2024. She was born on January 26, 1974, in Elgin, Illinois, to Larry Edward Schramm and Letha Lydia Schramm. Lydia Marie was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by many. Lydia Marie is survived by her father, Larry schramm her husband, David Rightmire, her beloved children James and Ella, her sister Beth Waller, an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins and her doggy Sadie. She was proceeded in death by her paternal Grandfather Edward Franklin Schramm, her paternal grandmother Olive Jeanne Schramm, her paternal aunt Ruth Elaine Schramm, her maternal grandfather Noah William Gillespie, her maternal grandmother Letha Gillespie, her maternal aunt Judy Gillespie, her maternal uncle Noah Gillespie, her mother Lydia Schramm, and her mother-in-law JoAnn Rightmire. Lydia Marie attended Newberg Middle School and graduated from Newberg High School. She furthered her education at Portland Community College. Lydia Marie was unabashedly herself and advocated wholeheartedly for the things that she was passionate about, often inspiring others to do the same. She was a well-respected speech and language pathologist assistant for the Newberg school district, where she was a fierce advocate for her students, and much loved and respected by her coworkers. Lydia Marie was very proud of completing the Portland marathon with her mother Lydia. And in her free time she shared a love of playing word games and crossword puzzles with her husband David. She also loved engaging in various creative activities such as cake making, painting and drawing with her daughter Ella. She was also a driving force in the success of her son James, and was forever his champion. She had a zest for life and approached everything with enthusiasm. A memorial service to celebrate Lydia Marie‘s life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 27 at Joyful Servant Lutheran Church, 1716 Villa Road, Newberg, Oregon.
