Linda Ellen Reynolds

Linda Ellen (Chapman) Reynolds, 85, of Wilsonville, Oregon, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 20, 1941, in Portland, OR, and adopted by the late Earl and Ellen Chapman, Linda graduated from South Eugene High School in 1959. She loved singing in her Acapella choir at South Eugene, and her love of music was a thread that ran through every stage of her life. While working in the corn room of the Eugene Fruit Growers Association cannery, Linda met the love of her life, James Reynolds, and the two married on June 9th, 1962. Together, Linda and James built a home filled with warmth, faith, and laughter. She was a devoted Army wife and loved sharing meals at her table with the other military families she encountered during James’s 23 years of service. She and James fostered lifelong friendships with dear friends from their duty stations and church communities throughout the country; they loved making extra stops to visit these friends even decades later as they frequently traveled cross-country. Linda was a dedicated mother and grandmother who never missed a school performance, sporting event, or opportunity to make her family feel seen and loved. She treasured each moment spent with her three daughters and ten grandchildren, and she turned every occasion she hosted into a celebration. Linda always had a perfect recipe to cook and a great story to tell; she never knew a stranger. Linda was a devout Christian and her faith was integral to every aspect of her life. A lifelong supporter of missions, she loved using her resources and musical talents to praise the Lord. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, James Reynolds; her loving daughters, Kristine Imper, Kathy Reynolds, and Kimberly Hansen; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Kennedy and her husband, Cameron, and their children, Braelynn and Jaxson; Meghan Burns and her husband, Nathan; Matthew Imper; Patrick Imper; Kyle Johns; Joshua Johns; Julianna Johns; Lindsey McAda and her children, Hadley and Meredith; Sarah Colee and her husband, Matt, and their children, Margot and Theodore; and Mikayla Hansen. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 3:00 pm at Crossridge Church in Sherwood, Oregon.
