Jeffery (Jeff) Thomas Hill December 6, 1950 to October 18, 2023 Jeffery Thomas Hill sadly lost his battle with cancer at home in Newberg, Oregon on October 18th, 2023 He was born on December 6th, 1950 to George and Barbara Hill in Newberg, Oregon, where he lived his entire life. Jeff graduated from Newberg High School in 1969 and completed auto mechanic classes at PCC. He always enjoyed attending the class of ’69 reunions and reminiscing with classmates. Jeff had a long career in the automotive field. He worked as a mechanic at Meyer Bros. dealership, Newberg and Lake Oswego School Districts (buses), and Columbia County Road Department where he retired as shop supervisor. His love for his family and friends always came first. Through the years he enjoyed coaching, watching and supporting his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports and school activities. He loved the family gatherings and trips going to the beach, watching NASCAR and drag races, taking cruises, playing golf and making his famous Christmas fudge for the family. He always looked forward to the annual drag race camping trip at Woodburn Dragstrip with the family and friends. He had a long passion for classic cars and hot rods. He finally got his dream car, a 1947 Ford Coupe, which was his pride and joy, attending cruise-ins and car shows. Jeff is predeceased by his parents, brothers Jerry and Richard, and niece Lecia. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 52 years, Joann (Towers), children; Jeremy (Cheryl), Jay (Melissa), Janessa; Sister, Sandy (Cliff), brother, Larry (Shirley); Grandchildren, Zack (Kristie), Ashlee, Averie (Jeremy), Amery, Cason, Benjamin, Erick (Megan), Ryan, & Baby Hill – due in December; Great-Grandchildren, Noah, Gracee; Father-in-law Jerry; Brother-in-law Jeff, Sister-in-law Judy; Many nieces and nephews; Grand-doggie, Onyx; And close family friends; Don, Kellie, Greg, Samantha, and Brad. He will be deeply missed by all. The family would like to thank Providence Newberg Hospital and Bristol Hospice for the compassionate care they provided. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 2:00pm at Attrell’s Funeral Chapel in Newberg, Oregon. Gathering to follow.
