Donald W. Fouche

Donald Wayne Fouche’ passed away in his home on December 1, 2019 in Newberg, Oregon. He was 70 years old. Donald Fouche’ was born September 27th, 1949 in Oakland California to his parents, Vernon and Virginia Fouche’. In the early years of Don Fouche’s life he moved from state to state. He moved to Oregon in the 1960’s. Graduated from Newberg Highschool in 1967. Don served in the Army 2 Plt. c CO 4 Bin July 1969 with honorable discharge. After leaving the Army, Don attended Portland State University in the later 1970’s. In 1971 Don met the love of his life, “poopy bear” Donna Cooke who soon became Mrs. Donna Fouche’. In 1973 they welcomed their first born Nickalas Lee Fouche’. Soon after, in 1975, Kelly Dawn Fouche’ “aka as princess to her father”. In 1982 Don and Donna Fouche’ added another addition, Todd Michael Fouche’(their nephew) to their family who became a brother to Kelly and Nick. Don had a love for coaching baseball. In the late 70’s, he coached the Babe Ruth league. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and community volunteer. He gave a great deal of time in volunteering as a Newberg Fire Fighter and Newberg Reserved Police Officer. Don also worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and supervisor at Publishers Paper/Smurfit for 26 years. Later in his years he worked for Halton Caterpillar and Treeco before he retired. Don‘s last years were spent doing what he loved. Riding ATV’s, fishing and camping with his children and grandchildren. He recently took his last trip to Chickahominy. He grew fond of his new profound gift from his daughter Kelly, “Gus” (His German Shepard). We cannot forget “Ben and Jill” his other warm fuzzy companions. Preceding in death by his parents Verdon and Virginia Fouche’, brother-in-law Carl Pahlka, father-in-law Donald R Cooke Sr., nephews Tony and Clint Cooke. Don is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Donna Fouche’, his son Nickalas Fouche’ (Angie), daughter Kelly Singer (Randy), nephew Todd Fouche’(Nicole), sister Patty Pahlka, brother Jim Fouche’, mother-in-law Doris Cooke, his ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews. As a husband, father, grandpa and friend, he will be greatly missed. As he would say “Come on over, I will fix it”.
